NOVELTY - Preparing zinc/co-co-N-C carbon nanotube oxygen reduction catalyst comprises (i) dispersing 2-methylimidazole uniformly into a methanol solution to mark as solution A, (ii) uniformly dispersing zinc nitrate hexahydrate, cobalt acetylacetonate (III) and graphene oxide into the methanolic solution to label as solution B, (iii) pouring the solution B into the solution A and stirring and mixing uniformly at room temperature to obtain material A; (iv) centrifuging the material A, washing with methanols and vacuum drying to obtain a material B; (v) calcining the material B at high temperature under the protection of inert gas to obtain the material C; and (vi) passing material C through acid, washing for multiple times, and drying. USE - Preparation method of autocatalytically grown zinc/cobalt-nitrogen-carbon carbon nanotube oxygen reduction catalyst for use as cathode oxygen reduction catalyst material of metal-air battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The autocatalytically grown zinc/cobalt-nitrogen-carbon carbon nanotube oxygen reduction catalyst has hierarchical porous properties, exhibits excellent oxygen reduction activity, cyclic stability and methanol tolerance in both alkaline and acidic electrolytes, and has excellent power density and satisfactory cycle stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for application of autocatalytically grown zinc/cobalt-nitrogen-carbon carbon nanotube oxygen reduction catalyst as cathode oxygen reduction catalyst material of metal-air battery.
