NOVELTY - Loading single metal atom on the surface of carbon material involves mixing sulfuric acid solution having concentration of 0.1-18 mol/L and 0.1-14 mol/L nitric acid solution in a volume ratio of 1:0.01-1:100 to prepare a mixed acid solution, placing carbon material to oxidize in a water bath at 30-35 degrees C for 1-30 hours, and then washed with water and drying to obtain the surface-oxidized carbon material. The surface-oxidized carbon material is placed into ultrapure water under stirring ultrasonically to prepare a suspension. The water-soluble metal precursor molecule solution and the surface oxidized carbon material suspension are mixed and placed at 20-50 degrees C and stirred for 3-24 hours. The mixture is freeze-dried and placed in a tube furnace in nitrogen atmosphere at 120-1000 degrees C for 0.5-10 hours, and then cooled to room temperature to obtain the material with a metal monoatom on the surface of the carbon material. ADVANTAGE - The method provides loading of the single metal atom on the surface of a carbon material in a simple, cost-effective and eco-friendly manner with low requirement on equipment, and good market popularization and application.
