NOVELTY - Manufacture of graphene involves performing liquid-phase separation of graphite in an aqueous solution using a surfactants. Due to the presence of hydrogen bonds, water molecules form clusters into which several water molecules are combined, which have a charge under certain external factors. Under normal conditions, clusters consist of 20 or more water molecules. Accordingly, microclusters behave like water ions. In an electric field, such water microclusters can penetrate into the interlayer space of graphite, because the microcluster thickness is less than the distance between graphite layers. A vessel with microcluster water containing graphite is placed in an alternating electric field. Microclusters of water, under the action of an alternating electric field, penetrate into the interlayer space of graphite, thereby expanding it to graphene. USE - Manufacture of graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of graphene, in which graphite is delaminated in the aqueous solution without additional solvents.
