NOVELTY - Lithium ion hard covered battery core comprises anode plate, cathode plate, and diaphragm arranged between the anode plate and cathode plate. The anode plate, cathode plate and diaphragm are made into naked battery core. The naked battery core is sealed in hard shell. The cathode plate comprises cathode current collector and cathode slurry layer. The cathode slurry layer is formed on one or both sides of the cathode current collector. The cathode slurry layer is formed by drying the cathode slurry. The cathode slurry comprises cathode active material, additive and solvent. The cathode material comprises silicon-based compound material. The additive comprises lithium nitrate. USE - The lithium ion battery pack is useful in automobiles, motorcycles or bicycles (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The battery core: has high energy density, higher reduction potential, and passivating effect on the cathode active material; is easy to reductively decompose; stably coats on the surface of the cathode active material; inhibits the continuous side reaction between the electrolyte and the cathode active material e.g. electrochemical reaction; improves the cycle performance of the lithium ion hard-covered battery cell; and makes the cycle life long.
