NOVELTY - The method involves placing cathode material carbon powder into a ball mill, grinding into fine particles, and mixing the cathode product carbon powder after ball milling with ammonium chloride, fully grinding to obtain a mixture. The mixture is ground in the container, under the argon atmosphere and the temperature is 280-500degrees Celsius for 15-60 minutes. The carbon powder is placed after roasting into a container, adding deionized water, and controlling the temperature of the solution at 40-70degrees Celsius. An ultrasonic vibration rod is inserted into the solution, and the ultrasonic vibrator is opened for ultrasonic processing within 1-3 hours, and filtering the reaction liquid to obtain graphite after finishing reaction. USE - Method for recycling graphite from cathode carbon powder of lithium battery for portable device, notebook computer, personal computer and mobile phone. ADVANTAGE - The lithium battery cathode material carbon powder after ball milling, the grain diameter is reduced, increasing the carbon powder specific surface area, fully and ammonium chloride contact effectively improving the chlorination conversion efficiency. The method has simple process, the front end graphite purifying uses low temperature baking energy consumption and low cost. The obtained graphene oxide surface hole is small, and the dispersion layer in the organic solvent is not easy to curl. The process organically combines the lithium battery chlorination roasting and resource recycling, so as to realize the effective purification and recycling of waste lithium ion battery carbon powder.
