▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - A composite membrane comprises a porous support, and a polyamide layer on the support and comprising graphene oxide quantum dot (GOQD) moieties. USE - Composite membrane e.g. thin film nanocomposite membrane such as reverse osmosis thin film nanocomposite membrane is used in module used for water treatment device (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite membrane has improved performance, structural integrity at high temperature, thermal stability, and water permeability while maintaining improved salt rejection levels. The composite membrane is manufactured by a simple method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of composite membrane, which involves contacting a solution of a multifunctional amine-reactive reactant in an organic solvent with an aqueous dispersion comprising a multifunctional amine and GOQD particles on the porous support, and drying the obtained product; (2) use of GOQD particles in a polyamide composition, preferably in a polyamide composite membrane; (3) polyamide composition comprising GOQD moieties; and (4) preparation of nitrogen-doped graphene oxide quantum dot particles, which involves forming an aqueous solution comprising citric acid and ammonia and heating the obtained aqueous solution.
