NOVELTY - Lightweight conveyor belt comprises an aramid canvas core, where both sides of the aramid canvas core are coated with an adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is prepared from various raw materials comprising 80-90 pts. wt. ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, 5-15 pts. wt. nitrile rubber, 6-8 pts. wt. sulfur, 5-7 pts. wt. accelerator, 8-10 pts. wt. antioxidant, 20-25 pts. wt. supplementary filler, 1-3 pts. wt. polymer-grafted graphene, 15-17 pts. wt. adhesive and 1.6-2 pts. wt. stearic acid. USE - As lightweight conveyor belt. ADVANTAGE - The lightweight conveyor belt has improved heat resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a preparation method of the lightweight conveyor belt involving (1) performing one stage plasticating by plasticating nitrile rubber, where the debinding temperature is 130-135 degrees C and the plasticating time is 15-20 minutes, (2) performing one-stage mixing by mixing the nitrile rubber obtained in step (1) and EPDM for 5-8 minutes, adding the antioxidants, the supplemental filler, the polymer grafted graphene and stearic acid, and continuously mixing for 4-6 minutes at 130-135 degrees C, (3) performing two-stage mixing by placing the mixture obtained in step (2) for 4-5 hours, continuously heating for mixing, when the temperature reaches 85-90 degrees C, adding sulfur, the accelerator and the adhesive and continuously mixing for 4-6 minutes, where the discharging temperature is 100-105 degrees C, and obtaining a rubber material and (4) introducing the rubber material to a calender for patching through heat smelting to obtain the light conveyor belt.
