NOVELTY - A graphene-ruthenium complex multilayer composite film comprises a monomolecular film substrate orderly superimposing symmetry repeating ruthenium complex or graphene forming a multilayer composite film, the symmetry of the ruthenium complex molecule and a pair of pyrenyl molecules are non-covalently fixed on a HOPG surface. USE - Graphene-ruthenium complex multilayer composite film. ADVANTAGE - The multilayer composite film has improved electrochemical performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene-ruthenium complex multilayer composite film comprises a monomolecular film substrate orderly superimposing symmetry repeating ruthenium complex or graphene forming a multilayer composite film, the symmetry of the ruthenium complex molecule and a pair of pyrenyl molecules are non-covalently fixed on a HOPG surface, where the ruthenium complex (Ru(Py4G2MeBip2))(PF6)2 is of formula (I). An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing a graphene-ruthenium complex multilayer composite film.
