NOVELTY - The assembly has a first positive electrode having two first electrically conductive tabs located on a first edge and a second edge of the first electrode. A second positive electrode has two second electrically conductive tabs located on a first edge and a second edge of the second electrode. A third negative electrode has two third electrically conductive tabs located on a first edge and a second edge of the third electrode. A fourth negative electrode has two fourth electrically conductive tabs located on a first edge and a second edge of the fourth electrode. The first and second electrically conductive tabs are aligned to form multiple positive electrical connectors, and the third and fourth electrically conductive tabs are aligned to form multiple negative electrical connectors spaced from the positive electrical connectors to reduce current density during high power charging and discharging. ADVANTAGE - The negative electrical connectors spaced from the positive electrical connectors are formed to reduce current density during charging and to reduce high-power discharging.
