NOVELTY - The preparation of EVA/graphene composite material involves (1) dispersing ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA)/graphene monomer solution, (2) adding emulsifier, protective colloid, colloidal stabilizer, pH adjusting agents and deionized water, mixing, (3) adding deionized water and graphene-monomer solution into polymerization vessel, stirring, adding latex dispersion, stirring, feeding ethylene, maintaining pressure, adding initiator, heating, polymerizing, cooling, (4) adding demulsifier, stirring, filtering, and vacuum drying to obtain EVA/graphene product. USE - Preparation of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA)/graphene composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA)/graphene composite material using simple process, reduced production cost, easy to control and continuous operation, and is suitable for industrial production, and the prepared composite material has electric conduction and mechanical properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation of EVA/graphene composite material involves (1) mechanically dispersing ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA)/graphene monomer solution to form graphene-monomer solution, (2) adding emulsifier, protective colloid, colloidal stabilizer, pH adjusting agents and deionized water, mixing at 70-80 degrees C to prepare latex dispersion, (3) adding deionized water and graphene-monomer solution into polymerization vessel, stirring, adding latex dispersion, stirring for 0.5-2 hours, feeding ethylene under anaerobic environment, maintaining pressure 2.5-6 MPa, adding initiator solution, heating at 70-95 degrees C, polymerizing for 2-10 hours, cooling to obtain EVA/graphene composite material, (4) adding demulsifier to resulting composite, stirring to obtain a thick paste, filtering, vacuum drying to obtain EVA/graphene product, weight ratio of ethylene and vinyl acetate is 5:95 to 30:70, weight ratio of graphene and ethylene-vinyl acetate monomer is (0.1-10):100.
