NOVELTY - Graphene-coated rare-earth element-supported copper composite material comprises double-layer harmonic structure, where rare-earth element is supported by a small-sized copper, and the small-sized copper is further supported on a large-sized copper. The double-layered harmonic structure is coated with graphene to improve the strength and elongation of the copper-graphene composite. The copper powder is used as the base material of copper-graphene composites. The graphene used is grown in situ on the copper surface by a carbon source, and modified by adding rare earth elements. USE - Graphene-coated rare-earth element-supported copper composite material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing graphene-coated rare earth element-supported copper composite material, which involves : (A) weighing the rare earth element yttrium(III) nitrate hexahydrate, copper powder, copper acetate and copper nitrate in ratio (0.6-3): 12: (0.5-4): (0.13-0.19), mixtures and sucrose, adding absolute ethanol and water, and dispersing them under heating in a water bath; (B) immersing mixture and reducing in a reducing gas atmosphere at 450-950 degrees C for 0.5-4 hours; and (C) sintering powder in a hot-pressed abrasive tool at high temperature to prepare a rare-earth element-reinforced copper-based composite material.
