NOVELTY - Method for preparing two-dimensional molybdenum carbide/graphene nanosheet composite material, involves adding graphene oxide ethanol dispersion in which cetyltrimethylammonium bromide is dissolved to a soluble molybdenum source aqueous solution for hydrothermal reaction, and carbonizing the reaction product to obtain the composite material. USE - The method is useful for preparing two-dimensional molybdenum carbide/graphene nanosheet composite material used as catalyst material in the reaction of producing hydrogen by electrolyzing water under acidic or alkaline conditions (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, and improves the catalytic performance of the molybdenum carbide material, and prepares the composite material with high activity.
