▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Method for preparing niobium pentoxide-reduced graphene oxide catalyst, involves (i) mixing graphene oxide dispersion with N-N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, and reacting to obtain modified graphene oxide, and (ii) adding the modified graphene oxide to an organic solution of niobium pentachloride, and performing a hydrothermal reaction to obtain the product. USE - The method is used for preparing the catalyst for catalytic oxidation of thioether (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides the catalyst which has excellent catalytic selectivity for the oxidation of thioether to sulfoxide, and the sulfoxide selectivity is over 85%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a niobium pentoxide-reduced graphene oxide catalyst, prepared by the above method; and (2) a method for catalytic oxidation of thioether, involving (a) adding sulfide and hydrogen peroxide to the organic solution of the catalyst, and (b) reacting to obtain sulfoxide and/or sulfone.
