NOVELTY - Functionalized carbon nanomaterial comprises graphene oxide as a matrix, and phosphoric acid containing phosphate group that is supported on the surface of the graphene oxide material through a phosphorus-carbon covalent bond. USE - Functionalized carbon nanomaterial used for adsorption of cobalt-containing wastewater (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The functionalized carbon nanomaterial is prepared in a simple, eco-friendly and cost-effective manner, and has a significant effect on the adsorption performance of cobalt ions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing functionalized carbon nanomaterial, which involves: (A) connecting the anode of the direct current stabilized power source to the graphite rod and the cathode to the graphite plate, and fixing the graphite rod and the graphite plate with a test tube clamp into a container containing 250-1000ml of 0.5-1.0mol/l phosphoric acid electrolyte; (B) putting it on the magnetic stirrer, turning on the power, adjusting the direct current stable power; (C) allowing the solution to stand for precipitation, and removing the supernatant, rinsing with distilled water, and then allowing to stand again, and then rinsing again until the solution is neutral, and filtering the solution; and (D) putting the filter residue into a vacuum drying box, adjusting the temperature to 60-90 degrees C for drying under vacuum for 5-8 hours.
