NOVELTY - A metal foil comprises a surface provided with an anti-oxidation layer having an average crystal grain size of 0.2-3 μm and a uniformity factor (V) of greater than 0 to less than or equal to 2.9 μm calculated using specific formula. USE - The metal foil is useful in flexible metal clad plate, semiconductor and negative electrode material for battery (all claimed) used in mobile phone, personal computer, server and global positioning system navigation device. ADVANTAGE - The metal foil does not oxidize easily, and has improved chemical resistance and excellent high temperature resistance. The oxidation resistance of the flexible metal clad plate can be effectively improved by performing special surface treatment on the metal foil. The relationship between the crystal grain uniformity parameter and the oxidation resistance is improved, thus resisting the oxide layer for surface treatment. The crystal grain formed by the anti-oxidation layer is uniform. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a flexible metal clad plate, which comprises an insulating base film layer and a metal foil layer comprising the metal foil arranged on at least one surface of the insulating base film layer.
