NOVELTY - Preparing fuel cell platinum alloy catalyst by atomic layer deposition metal/metal oxide confinement comprises (a) preparing platinum particles and loading on a carbon carrier, i.e. carbon-supported platinum, (b) adding the carbon-supported platinum into the atomic layer deposition system, passing through the metal precursor to make it adsorb on the carbon-supported platinum, purging the excess metal precursor, and passing through the reactive gas for reaction, repeating the above steps, depositing a metal/metal oxide layer on the carbon-supported platinum, and (c) heat treating at high temperature in a reducing atmosphere, and cooling to room temperature. USE - Method for preparing fuel cell platinum alloy catalyst by atomic layer deposition metal/metal oxide confinement. ADVANTAGE - The method can precisely control the thickness of the metal/metal oxide deposited around the Pt particles on the atomic scale, can inhibit the migration and growth of particles during high-temperature heat treatment, which is conducive to maintaining small size and high dispersion of alloy particles, formation of the alloy can produce electronic effects and improve the catalytic activity of the overall catalyst; can control the type of the prepared alloy by regulating the type of the metal precursor, and can realize the protective effect on different carriers, and has a wide application range.
