NOVELTY - Cathode material, comprises carbon matrix and an active material present in the carbon matrix, the active material includes primary particles and/or agglomerates, and aggregates. The proportion of the aggregates in the total number of the primary particles, the agglomerates and the aggregates is ≤30%. USE - Used as cathode material. ADVANTAGE - The cathode material and the lithium ion battery can reduce the volume expansion of the cathode material and improve the rate performance and cycle stability of the cathode material.
