NOVELTY - Graphitized carbon fiber, sodium nitrate, potassium permanganate and concentrated sulfuric acid are added in water bath and reacted. Deionized water is added to resultant mixture and reacted. Deionized water and hydrogen peroxide are added to resultant mixture, filtered to obtain primary oxidized carbon fiber, dried, processed again, color change is observed until yellow suspending liquid occurs, and filtered. The obtained oxidized graphite carbon fiber is dried, dissolved in water, and ultrasonography is carried out, to obtain graphene oxide. USE - Preparation of graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide is prepared economically and easily. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphitized carbon fiber (0-5 g), sodium nitrate (1-5 g), potassium permanganate (5-30 g) and concentrated sulfuric acid (50-300 mL) are added in a water bath, reacted at 30-40 degrees C for 1-24 hours, and color change is observed. Deionized water (100-500 mL) is added to resultant mixture, color change is observed and reacted at 90-100 degrees C for 0-5 hours. Deionized water (50-300 mL) and hydrogen peroxide (0-50 mL) are added to resultant mixture, filtered to obtain primary oxidized carbon fiber and dried at 100 degrees C for 2 hours. 0-5 g of obtained primary oxidized carbon fiber is weighed and processed again. The color change is observed until brownish-yellow or yellow suspending liquid occurs, and filtered, to obtain the secondary oxidized carbon fiber, i.e. oxidized graphite carbon fiber. The obtained oxidized graphite carbon fiber is dried, dissolved in water, and ultrasonography is carried out for 0-5 hours, to obtain graphene oxide.
