NOVELTY - Sugarcane pulp is used as carbon source in preparing sheet-like graphene-like porous carbon electrode material. USE - The sugarcane pulp is used as carbon source in preparing sheet-like graphene-like porous carbon useful for supercapacitor or for preparing sheet-like graphene-like porous carbon electrode material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - Combining two graphene-like materials with different properties achieve breakthrough improvements in the rate performance and cycle stability of carbon materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) preparation of the sheet-like graphene-like porous carbon comprising drying, crushing and pre-carbonizing the sugarcane pulp; charring the pre-carbonized sugarcane pulp to obtain carbonized material; washing the ash in the carbonized material, drying, and uniformly mixing the carbonized material and transition metal salt solution, adding alkali metal hydroxide for immersion to obtain a mixture; pre-activating the mixture in an inert atmosphere, and fully decomposing the transition metal salt; and fully activating, washing and removing the impurities to obtain the sheet-like graphene-like porous carbon; and (2) sheet-like graphene-like porous carbon.
