NOVELTY - Preparing graphene-polyacrylonitrile composite fiber involves mixing polyacrylonitrile powder and graphene oxide powder uniformly at a mass ratio of 100:1-100:5 in a conical glass vessel with 15-17 wt.% solvent, placing the conical glass container in a constant temperature water bath, stirring constantly at a temperature of 20-40 degrees C and stirring speed of 200 revolutions per minute (rpm) for 15-20 hours to obtain spinning solution, transferring the spinning solution to a metering pump, and subjecting to insulation defoaming at 50-70 degrees C. USE - Method for preparing graphene-polyacrylonitrile composite fiber (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene-polyacrylonitrile composite fiber, which has uniform distribution of graphene particles having small size. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene-polyacrylonitrile composite fiber involves mixing polyacrylonitrile powder and graphene oxide powder uniformly at a mass ratio of 100:1-100:5 in a conical glass vessel with 15-17 wt.% solvent, placing the conical glass container in a constant temperature water bath, stirring constantly at a temperature of 20-40 degrees C and stirring speed of 200 revolutions per minute (rpm) for 15-20 hours to obtain spinning solution, transferring the spinning solution to a metering pump, and subjecting to insulation defoaming at 50-70 degrees C. A reducing agent is added to the coagulation bath, where the reducing agent is one of sodium borohydride or sodium citrate. The dewaxed spinning solution is obtained from the spinnerette and subjected to first coagulation bath, second coagulation bath, and hot roll, which is followed by washing with boiling water and drying to obtain graphene-polyacrylonitrile composite fiber.
