NOVELTY - Electrophoretic deposition-electropolymerization combined to modify carbon fiber comprises first adopting the electrophoretic deposition method to deposit graphene oxide on the surface of the carbon fiber, obtaining the graphene oxide coated carbon fiber, and using electropolymerization to generate polymer in situ at the surface interface of the obtained graphene oxide coated carbon fiber, drying, obtaining the modified carbon fiber of electrophoretic deposition and electropolymerization, where the voltage used in the electrophoretic deposition method is 5-30 V. USE - Used as electrophoretic deposition-electropolymerization combined to modify carbon fiber. ADVANTAGE - The surface of the modified carbon fiber: is rich in active functional groups, conducive to its mechanical interlocking and chemical bonding with the resin matrix, and greatly improves the interface performance with the resin matrix, significantly increases interlayer shear strength, storage modulus, and glass transition temperature; the mechanical properties are excellent, and has extremely important application prospects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) electrophoretic deposition-electropolymerization combined to modify carbon fiber prepared by above mentioned method; (2) modified carbon fiber resin matrix complex material comprising electrophoretic deposition-electropolymerization combined modified carbon fiber, resin matrix and curing agent; and (3) preparing the modified carbon fiber resin matrix complex material comprising the electrophoretic deposition-electropolymerization combined modified carbon fiber and the resin matrix adopt a unidirectional layup method, laying it on the mold, and curing at 135 degrees C for 2 hours and 175 degrees C for 2 hours under 5 MPa.
