NOVELTY - A graphene nanosheet loaded tin flame retardant is prepared by mixing expandable graphite and tin powder in a mass ratio of (2.33-19):1, adding the mixture to deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing in water bath for 30 minutes, balling mill for 42-60 hours, removing the supernatant, and drying to remove the liquid phase to obtain black powder. USE - The graphene nanosheet loaded tin flame retardant is useful in preparation of flame-retardant material and epoxy resin (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene nanosheet loaded tin flame retardant improves flame retardant effect of the epoxy resin. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of the graphene nanosheet loaded tin flame retardant, which involves (A) uniformly mixing expandable graphite and tin powder, dispersing in deionized water, and ultrasonically dispersing in a water bath at 60 degrees C for 30 minutes to form a paste solution, (B) adding the paste solution to a ball mill jar containing zirconium oxide balls whose diameter is 0.5 mm, and ball milling at 2000-2500 rpm for 42-60 hours to obtain a suspension, and (C) leaving still the suspension for 12-24 hours, removing the supernatant, and placing in an oven to dry until the liquid phase is removed to obtain black powder. The mass ratio of expandable graphite and tin powder mixture to deionized water is 1:10; (2) a flame-retardant epoxy resin, which is prepared by adding the graphene nanosheet loaded tin flame retardant and m-phenylenediamine to epoxy resin. The mass ratio of graphene nanosheet loaded tin flame retardant to epoxy resin is (3-9):100. The mass ratio of m-phenylenediamine to epoxy resin is (10-14):100; and (3) preparation of the flame-retardant epoxy resin, which involves heating and stirring 100 pts. wt. epoxy resin, adding 3-9 pts. wt. graphene nanosheet loaded tin flame retardant, evenly stirring, adding 10-14 pts. wt. m-phenylenediamine, evenly mixing, heating, curing, and cooling.
