NOVELTY - A composite material comprises several layers of fibrous carbon material including an ultra-fine thin-tubular structural component composed of single-layer or multilayer graphene, and a base material. The base material includes a discharge plasma sintered compact of metal powder component, mixed powder of metal and ceramic, or ceramic powder component. The fibrous carbon material comprising each layer composed of a mixture of large-diameter fiber (1) having average diameter of 500 nm-100 mu m and small-diameter fiber (2) having average diameter of 100 nm or less. USE - Composite material is used for manufacture of heat-emitting component, wiring material, separator in heat exchanger and heat sink, and used as electrode material of fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The highly-functional composite material has excellent thermal conductivity. The electrode material formed using composite material has corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance characteristics.
