NOVELTY - Catalyst comprises graphene airgel (carrier) and binary platinum-cerium oxide as active component, where amount of platinum is 10-30 wt.%, and molar ratio of platinum and cerium oxide is 2:1. USE - Catalyst used in the field of fuel cell technology. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst is prepared in simple, fast, energy-saving and eco-friendly manner, improves electro-catalysis activity, and reduces carbon monoxide poisoning. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a preparing catalyst, which involves: (A) dispersing graphene gel and cerium oxide uniformly with mixed solution of ethanediol and isopropanol; (B) mixing the obtained solution uniformly; (C) adding chloroplatinic acid solution to the obtained mixed solution, where pH is adjusted to 10-12; (D) heating the obtained material in a microwave; (E) filtering the obtained product; (F) washing the obtained product; and (G) drying the obtained product to obtain platinum-cerium oxide-graphene airgel catalyst.
