NOVELTY - Coating comprises first component including 0.1-1 pts. wt. cardanol active diluent modified oxidized graphene sheet, 50-80 pts. wt. petroleum-based epoxy resin and 20-50 pts. wt. cardanol active diluting agent and second component including 40-50 pts. wt. cardanol curing agent, 0.01 to 0.2 pts. wt. anti-foaming agent, 0.03-0.3 pts. wt. flatting agent and 0.05-0.2 pts. wt. anti-settling agent. USE - The coating is useful as a metal material surface coating (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The coating: designs and synthesizes cardanol-based reactive diluent-modified graphene oxide nanosheets (AGO) through a simple covalent functionalization method; can make up for the defects existing inside the epoxy coating; has hydrophobic long chain structure similar to cardanol active diluent, which is good for improving the dispersibility and compatibility of GO in the epoxy resin matrix; improves the barrier ability of the coating resin to the corrosive ion and has long-term corrosion resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing coating comprising adding the cardanol active diluent modified oxidized graphene nano sheet into absolute ethyl alcohol to mix, adding cardanol based active diluting agent to mix uniformly, removing absolute ethyl alcohol by rotary evaporation, mixing with petroleum-based epoxy resin and adding anti-foaming agent, flatting agent, cardanol base curing and agent-settling agent to mix uniformly to obtain the product.
