NOVELTY - Producing graphene comprises (a) preparing trinaphthotrinaphthylene-based compound (I); and (b) heat treating the trinaphthotrinaphthylene-based compound (I). USE - The graphene is useful in nanomaterial, ink, barrier material, heat dissipation material, ultra-light material, energy electrode material, next-generation semiconductors, and transparent electrodes. ADVANTAGE - The method produces graphene with high carbonization rate using low molecular weight organic compound. The graphene has 311 times stronger tensile strength than steel, 1000 times faster electron mobility than silicon, 10 times better thermal conductivity than copper, property of maintaining its properties even if it is bent or stretched, and is transparent enough to transmit 98% of light.
