NOVELTY - Preparing phenolic resin-based porous carbon comprises (i) dissolving the phenolic resin in anhydrous methanol, mixing and dispersing; (ii) mixing the graphene oxide, soluble iron salts ad concentrated ammonia in water and stirring; (iii) mixing resultant of step (i) and step (ii) and dispersing; (iv) pouring the mixture obtained in step (iii) into a Petri dish, placing in a box-type resistance furnace, curing, solidifying and crushing; and (v) placing the sample obtained in step (iv) in a ceramic crucible, placing in the box-type resistance furnace, heating, carbonizing and pulverizing. USE - The carbon is useful for super-capacitor. ADVANTAGE - The carbon has improved specific surface area and specific capacitance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing phenolic resin-based porous carbon comprises (i) dissolving the phenolic resin in anhydrous methanol, mixing and dispersing ultrasonically for 1 hour until the solution becomes clear; (ii) mixing the graphene oxide, soluble iron salts ad concentrated ammonia in water and stirring for 1-3 hours; (iii) mixing resultant of step (i) and step (ii) and dispersing ultrasonically at 40-60 degrees C for 5-8 hours; (iv) pouring the mixture obtained in step (iii) into a Petri dish, placing in a box-type resistance furnace, curing at 160-200 degrees C for 2 hours, solidifying to room temperature and crushing; and (v) placing the sample obtained in step (iv) in a ceramic crucible, placing in the box-type resistance furnace, heating to 900 degrees C, insulating for 1 hour to obtain burnt carbonization, weighing the carbonized product and pulverizing by a ball mill.
