NOVELTY - A carbon dioxide electrochemical reduction catalyst comprises composite material comprising copper oxide-cuprous oxide composite graphene. USE - Carbon dioxide electrochemical reduction catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has high electrocatalytic activity and selectivity for carbon dioxide reduction, significantly improves energy efficiency of carbon dioxide utilization. The preparation of catalyst is simple in operation, environmentally-friendly and produces catalyst with high yield. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of carbon dioxide electrochemical reduction catalyst which involves precursor by spray drying: dissolving copper chloride in deionized water to obtain an aqueous solution of copper chloride, adding aqueous solution of copper chloride to aqueous graphene oxide solution, stirring mixed solution uniformly, spray-drying, and collecting product to obtain precursor, laying precursor on bottom of porcelain boat, placing in tube furnace, introducing argon gas and maintaining under full argon gas for calcination, cooling furnace and collecting product is collected.
