NOVELTY - Doped carbon material, is claimed. The doped carbon material has a characteristic peak at the position of 135.8 +/ - 0.5ev in the P2P spectral peak the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyzer (XPS) analysis. USE - The doped carbon material is useful as an electrode material in electrochemistry (claimed), and as platinum carbon catalyst in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and metal air cell. ADVANTAGE - The platinum carbon catalyst has excellent catalytic performance and carbon corrosion resistance when catalyzing the oxygen reduction reaction. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a method for doping a carbon material; (2) a platinum carbon catalyst; (3) a method for preparing platinum-carbon catalyst; and (4) a hydrogen fuel cell.
