NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene nanobelt involves immersing long strip of carbon nanowalls as working electrode, lead plate as counter electrode and mercury/mercury sulfate as reference electrode in ionic liquid as electrolyte in an electrolytic cell, applying voltage of 0.1-20 V, maintaining the resultant product for 0.1-10 hours, then applying reverse voltage of -20 V to -0.1 V, maintaining the resultant product for 0.1-10 hours, filtering the resultant mixture, carrying out residue cleaning process and vacuum drying. USE - Preparation of graphene nanobelt (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene nanobelt having improved quality is efficiently manufactured by simple process.
