NOVELTY - Preparing graphene modified phenolic resin comprises(i)adding salicylic acid, graphene and p-toluenesulfonic acid into a deionized water solvent, performing ultrasonic treatment, heating and refluxing to obtain salicylic acid modified grapheme,(ii) adding phenol, salicylic acid and salicylic acid modified graphene into a deionized water solvent, heating and refluxing, carrying out ultrasonic treatment, adding formaldehyde and zinc acetate,carrying out reflux reaction, transferring into a reduced pressure distillation device, carrying out reduced pressure distillation reaction, centrifuging and washing a product, extracting and purifying using a Soxhlet extractor to obtain a purified product, and (iii) adding the resultant purified product and a polyether modified silicone oil defoaming agent into an n-butyl alcohol solvent, uniformly stirring by ultrasonic waves, uniformly coating on the surface of the carbon steel, placing in a vacuum drying oven and curing. USE - The method is useful for preparing a graphene modified phenolic resin composite. ADVANTAGE - The method: improves the interface affinity of graphene and phenolic resin, ensures the guiding effect to phenolic resin chain growth; and the obtained product has high thermal stability; inhibits the thermal decomposition; improves the comprehensive performance of phenolic resin. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene modified phenolic resin comprises(i)adding salicylic acid, graphene and p-toluenesulfonic acid into a deionized water solvent, performing ultrasonic treatment for 20-40 minutes, heating and refluxing for 1-2 hours to obtain salicylic acid modified grapheme,(ii) adding phenol, salicylic acid and salicylic acid modified graphene into a deionized water solvent, heating and refluxing for 1-2 hours, carrying out ultrasonic treatment for 20-40 minutes, adding formaldehyde and zinc acetate, carrying out reflux reaction at 70-90 degrees C, transferring into a reduced pressure distillation device, carrying out reduced pressure distillation reaction, centrifuging and washing a product, extracting and purifying using a Soxhlet extractor to obtain a purified product, and (iii) adding the resultant purified product and a polyether modified silicone oil defoaming agent into an n-butyl alcohol solvent, uniformly stirring by ultrasonic waves, uniformly coating on the surface of the carbon steel, placing in a vacuum drying oven and curing at 50-80 degrees C for 1-2 hours.
