NOVELTY - Preparing ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber material with low friction coefficient comprises (1) using co-extrusion forming technology to prepare polyethylene multi-layer fibers whose outer layers are polyethylene fiber and whose core layer are low-molecular-weight polyolefin nano-composite, (2) extracting and stretching the polyethylene multilayer fiber, compounding with low molecular weight polyethylene and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber to prepare fiber cloth and (3) melting and compounding the fiber cloth and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene resin melt to obtain the low friction coefficient ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber material. USE - The method is useful for preparing ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber material with low friction coefficient. ADVANTAGE - The material has very low friction coefficient and a low wear rate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a low friction coefficient ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber material prepared by the above method.
