NOVELTY - The system comprises a first container (102) including a first solution, which includes a reducing agent, a second container (106) including a second solution that includes graphene oxide, a chamber (114) that is in operative relationship with the first and the second container, is a first chamber and is effectively configured to receives the first and second solutions from the first and second containers respectively, and facilitate contact of the first and second solutions at an interfacial region under sufficient reaction conditions to produce graphene at the interfacial region. USE - The system is useful for producing graphene (claimed), which is useful in a gas permeation barrier, industrial or manufacturing setting, displays, electrostatic discharge protection, electromagnetic field shielding semiconductor materials, a gas barrier, and solar cells. ADVANTAGE - The system effectively produces the graphene in an economical and rapid manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The system comprises a first container (102) including a first solution, which includes a reducing agent, a second container (106) including a second solution that includes graphene oxide, a chamber (114) that is in operative relationship with the first and the second container, is a first chamber and is effectively configured to receives the first and second solutions from the first and second containers respectively, and facilitate contact of the first and second solutions at an interfacial region under sufficient reaction conditions to produce graphene at the interfacial region. The system further comprises: a first port in communication with the first container and an inlet of the chamber; a second port in communication with the second container and the inlet of the chamber, where the first and second ports are configured to create a pressure differential in the chamber sufficient to promote movement of the first and second solutions toward an outlet of the chamber; a conveyer belt (124) in operative relationship with the chamber, where the conveyer belt is effective to draw the graphene out of the chamber on to a support (138) that is a plastic, a polymer and/or a fluorocarbon or metal; a spool in operative relationship with the conveyer belt, where the spool is effective to roll the graphene and the support onto the spool; a second chamber in operative relationship with the first chamber, where the second chamber is effective to receive and wash the graphene to produce washed graphene; and a third chamber in operative relationship with the second chamber, where the third chamber is effective to receive and dry the washed graphene to produce processed graphene. The outlet of the chamber is pitched with respect to the inlet of the chamber so that a gravitational force in the chamber is effective to promote movement of the first and second solutions toward the outlet of the chamber. The second solution includes graphene oxide dispersed in water with a concentration of the graphene oxide to water in 0.1-1g/l. The first or second solution includes a viscosity enhancer and a water soluble polymer. The first solution is immiscible with the water. The second solution includes a surfactant, and graphene oxide dispersed in a non-aqueous medium. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a method for producing graphene; and (2) a chamber.
