NOVELTY - A folded graphene oxide comprises oxygen content of 10-30 wt.%. The ratio of total number of atoms of doping elements other than oxygen to number of carbon atoms is less than 0.5%. USE - Folded graphene oxide used for catalytic oxygen reduction reaction (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method uses strong oxidizing environment and fumed sulfuric acid for strong intercalation effect to graphite. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the folded graphene oxide comprising adding sulfuric acid and high-valence metal salt mixed solution into graphite powder, washing product, naturally settling, discarding supernatant, repeatedly washing 2-4 times, drying to obtain dried product, quickly heating under inert gas protection, and high temperature calcining.
