NOVELTY - Attapulgite/graphene oxide composite material is claimed. The material is prepared by reacting attapulgite modified with a silane coupling agent and graphene oxide modified with phosphorus-containing compound. USE - The composite material is useful as auxiliary polymer material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material improves the various properties of polymer material. The polymer material: has high mechanical properties and flame retardancy, and low smoke density and toxicity when burned. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for polymer composite material comprising polymer material as a matrix and 0.5-2 wt.% attapulgite/graphene oxide composite material as auxiliary agent.
