NOVELTY - A bismuth sulfide-molybdenum sulfide/graphene composite nanomaterial comprises bismuth sulfide nanoparticles and molybdenum sulfide nanosheets, uniformly formed on graphene. The molar ratio of bismuth and molybdenum is 1:9-1:4. USE - Bismuth sulfide-molybdenum sulfide/graphene composite nanomaterial for high-performance lithium-ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The composite nanomaterial has excellent electrochemical lithium storage performance, and can be prepared by simple, easy, and convenient method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the bismuth sulfide-molybdenum sulfide/graphene composite material, which involves adding bismuth nitrate pentahydrate and sodium molybdate dihydrate, and L-cysteine to deionized water, stirring to obtain a mixed solution, ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water, obtaining a uniform suspension, adding a graphene oxide suspension to the mixed solution under constant stirring conditions, stirring continuously for 2 hours, transferring the reaction mixture to a hydrothermal reaction vessel with a PTFE liner, sealing, hydrothermally reacting at 200 degrees C for 24 hours, cooling naturally to room temperature, centrifuging the precipitated product, washing thoroughly with deionized water and absolute ethanol, and vacuum-drying at 80 degrees C for 12 hours. The ratio of bismuth nitrate and sodium molybdate is 1:9-1:4. The usage amount of L-cysteine is 5 times the total amount of bismuth nitrate and sodium molybdate. The usage amount of graphene oxide (in terms of graphene) is twice the total amount of bismuth nitrate and sodium molybdate.
