NOVELTY - An organic microsphere supported three-dimensional graphene cadmium sulfide composite catalyst comprises styrene organic microsphere as carrier, graphene oxide supported on microspheres, and cadmium acetate and dimethyl sulfoxide for generating cadmium sulfide nanoparticles grown on surface layer of graphene. USE - Organic microsphere supported three-dimensional graphene cadmium sulfide composite catalyst used for photocatalytic hydrogen generation. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has simple preparation, and does not need noble metal catalyst. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of organic microsphere supported three-dimensional cadmium sulfide composite catalyst comprising dissolving polyvinylpyrrolidone in ethanol, adding styrene and glycidyl methacrylate, filling nitrogen, discharging air, adding azobisisobutyronitrile, filling nitrogen, discharging air, water bath oscillating, centrifugally cleaning to obtain organic microspheres, adding graphene oxide in organic microspheres, water bath stirring, loading to obtain styrene organic microspheres, dispersing with cadmium acetate in dimethyl sulfoxide solution, magnetic force stirring, uniformly mixing to obtain mixed liquid, adding to hydrothermal kettle, putting in oven, reacting at constant temperature, cooling to room temperature, washing with anhydrous ethanol, filtering and drying.
