NOVELTY - Hydrogen evolution electrode has a three-stage structure, where primary structure is a foam nickel base, secondary structure is a graphene sheet load nano nickel particles and tertiary structure is nickel hydroxide nano sheet with nickel hydroxide/nickel/reduced graphene oxide coating. USE - Hydrogen evolution electrode. ADVANTAGE - The hydrogen evolution electrode has unique structure, and excellent stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing hydrogen evolution electrode, which involves: (A) keeping foam nickel base into a beaker filled with deionized water; (B) processing the obtained mixture ultrasonically for 5 minutes; (C) carrying out acidification treatment for 30 sec by putting foam nickel into 3M hydrochloric acid solution; (D) washing the obtained mixture by deionized water; (E) drying the obtained product; (F) preparing nickel/reduced graphene oxide composite electrode with distilled water as solvent, where plating solution contains 350g sulfonic acid, 10g nickel chloride, 30g ammonium chloride and 1.0g graphene oxide and pH value of the plating solution is 3.8; (G) processing the substrate by fixing it on the inner wall of the cylindrical reactor as electro-deposition cathode, where gravity field intensity G is 350 g (g is acceleration of gravity); (H) weighing 0.1-3g /ammonium chloride/ammonium fluoride dissolved in 50ml deionized water; (I) stirring the obtained mixture for 10 minutes at room temperature; (J) transferring the obtained mixture in a 100 ml of polytetrafluoroethylene inner liner; (K) sealing the obtained mixture in a stainless steel reaction kettle with pressure 6mpa, under certain synthesis conditions, where hydrothermal reaction temperature is 100-180 degrees C and time is 1-12 hours; (L) washing the obtained product with deionized water; and (M) drying the obtained product at 80 degrees C for 1 hour.
