NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene oxide nanosheets involves preparing graphene oxide using graphite powder via Hummers method by adding potassium permanganate and heating in microwave oven, washing obtained mixture of porous graphene oxide and manganese dioxide using dilute hydrochloric acid and deionized water by centrifugal process, repeatedly cleaning the porous graphene oxide and ultrasonically processing product in ultrasonic water bath. USE - Preparation of graphene oxide nanosheets (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables efficient and economical preparation of graphene oxide nanosheets with high yield and narrow particle size distribution in short period.
