NOVELTY - A composite graphene component for oil-water separation, comprises support portion and hydrophobic portion. The support portion is Luffa, and hydrophobic portion is graphene and carbon nanotubes aerogel. USE - Composite graphene component for oil-water separation. ADVANTAGE - The composite graphene component is prepared by economical process and has high reusability, does not contain other rare metals, and does not require high temperature and high pressure. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of composite graphene component for oil-water separation, which involves preparing hydrophobic precursor hydrogel by adding deionized water to 50 ml beaker, adding large-sized graphene oxide to deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing for 1 hour to prepare concentration of 5 mg/ml graphene oxide aqueous solution, adding carbon nanotubes and ultrasonically dispersing for 30 minutes to obtain mixture, adding two drops of aqueous ammonia to mixture and stirring for 30 minutes to obtain mixed dispersion (I), preparing modified Luffa by preparing a support portion, preparing composite graphene component hydrogel, dialyzing composite graphene component hydrogel against 20% hydroalcoholic solution for 6 hours, freezing refrigerator, and freeze-drying with lyophilizer. The mass ratio of graphene oxide to carbon nanotubes is 1:1.
