NOVELTY - Industrial water purifying agent comprises modified hydrated ceric oxide nanoparticle, magnetic nanoparticle and graphene oxide. The preparation method industrial water purifying agent comprises (i) mixing 0.2 mol/l sodium hydroxide/ethanol solution and 0.05 mol/l cerium nitrate/ethanol solution and vigorously stirring, (ii) centrifuging the stirred liquid through a centrifuge to collect the sediment, and drying the collected sediment at high temperature to obtain hydrous cerium oxide nanoparticles, (iii) dispersing hydrous cerium oxide nanoparticles into 100 g ethanol solution, adding 2 g activated carbon into the ethanol solution, and ultrasonically treating for 30-40 minutes to obtain product A, and processing and drying product A to obtain nano-modified hydrated ceric oxide powder, and (iv) adding the nano-modified hydrated ceric oxide powder and magnetic nanoparticles into a mixer for mixing. USE - The industrial water purifying agent is useful for coal coking wastewater treatment. ADVANTAGE - The water purifying agent can be quickly dispersed in the coal coking wastewater, and the purification efficiency of the water purifying agent on the coal coking wastewater is increased.
