NOVELTY - Gel-based button-type zinc-air battery comprises (i) dropping graphene oxide solution into deionized water, and stirring uniformly to prepare graphene oxide aqueous solution; (ii) adding triblock ether polymer particles into the aqueously solution of graphene oxide, and completely dissolving, (iii) adding acrylamide monomer in the solution (ii), using ammonium persulfate as initiator, adding methylene bisacrylamide to prepare a uniform mixed solution, and (iv) pouring the mixed solution into a mold and polymerizing to obtain gel polymer; (v) soaking the gel polymer in alkaline solution with a hydroxide radical and a zinc ion to prepare a gel polymer electrolyte, and (vi) cutting the gel polymer electrolyte into a disk shape with the same size as the zinc electrode and the air battery, sandwiching the gel polymer electrolyte between the zinc electrode and the air electrode and assembling into a sandwich structure, and packing in a metal shell. USE - Gel-based button type zinc-air battery useful in an electric vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The gel-based button-type zinc-air battery avoids the defect of electrolyte leakage and metal shell is easy to be corroded, and has improved structure and performance.
