NOVELTY - A shoe sole comprises an elastomeric composition comprising (A) 100 parts per hundred (phr) mixture of rubbers consisting of (i) 40-70 wt.% isoprene polymer, (ii) 20-50 wt.% polybutadiene, (iii) 10-40 wt.% styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of - 60 to - 40 degrees C; and (B) 50-100 phr amorphous carbon black having a surface area of greater than or equal to 85 m2/g measured with the ASTM D6556 method, and dibutyl phthalate absorption index (DBPA) of greater than or equal to 90 measured with ASTM D2414 method; and (C) 1-30 phr graphene nano-platelets where greater than or equal to 90% graphene nano-platelets have a side dimension (x, y) of 50 -50000 nm and a thickness (z) of 0.34-50 nm, and the graphene nano platelets have a carbon (C)/oxygen (O) ratio of greater than or equal to 100:1. USE - A shoe sole. ADVANTAGE - The shoe sole comprising an elastomeric composition having graphene has improved properties, such as balance between grip on the ground and resistance to wear.
