USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide/chitosan microspheres (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and produces microspheres having large particle size, good mechanical properties, easily separates from water, strong chelating ability for heavy metal ions and good adsorption properties for heavy metal ions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene oxide/chitosan microspheres comprises: (i) dispersing 0.01-0.2% graphene oxide solution ultrasonically at room temperature to obtain graphene oxide dispersion, dissolving chitosan in graphene oxide dispersion in a mass ratio of 1:(0.01-0.05) to obtain graphene oxide/chitosan mixture; (ii) sequentially adding liquid paraffin and Span-80 (RTM: Sorbitan oleate) into the graphene oxide/chitosan mixture, stirring for 2-4 hours to obtain graphene oxide/chitosan emulsion mixture, where the volume ratio of graphene oxide/chitosan mixture, liquid paraffin and Span-80 (RTM: Sorbitan oleate) is 1:(1-1.2):(0.05-0.1), adding graphene oxide/chitosan emulsion mixture into formaldehyde in a volume ratio of 1:(0.05-0.1), stirring for 1-2 hours to obtain graphene oxide/chitosan emulsion crosslinking mixture, adding graphene oxide/chitosan emulsion crosslinking mixture into sodium hydroxide/ethanol solution in a volume ratio of 1:(3-5), stirring for 3-4 hours, washing and filtering to obtain graphene oxide/chitosan pre-crosslinked microspheres; and (iii) adding graphene oxide/chitosan pre-crosslinked microspheres into epichlorohydrin solution in a mass ratio of 1:(40-60) at 65-75 degrees C by stirring for 3-4 hours, washing, filtering and drying under vacuum. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene oxide/chitosan microspheres.
