NOVELTY - Flexible zinc-air battery electrode material i.e. cellulose-based carbon foam comprises nano-cellulose and dispersion. The nano-cellulose is composed of cellulose and oxidant. The dispersion is composed of heteroatom compound i.e. nitrogen-containing compound and sulfur-containing compound and/or carbon material i.e. graphene, carbon nano-tube and carbon black. The cellulose is composed of softwood kraft pulp board, cotton pulp and/or filter paper. The oxidant is composed of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-nitrogen-oxide, sodium bromide and sodium hypochlorite. The nitrogen-containing compound is urea, melamine, dicyandiamide and cyanoguanidine. The sulfur-containing compound is thiourea, carbon disulfide, dimethyl sulfoxide and trithiocyanuric acid. USE - The flexible zinc-air battery electrode material is useful for preparing flexible metal-air battery (claimed) i.e. rechargeable zinc-air battery. ADVANTAGE - The flexible zinc-air battery electrode material has a directional pore structure and high flexibility, which can effectively promote electron transfer and mass transfer, and can improve specific surface area of material, so as to expose more catalytically active sites, and can impart cellulose-based carbon foam with electrocatalytic performance.
