▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A polyurethane comprises reaction product of isocyanate component; polyol component; and 0.1-20 wt.% graphene nanoplatelets based on total weight of polyurethane, where nanoplatelets have average lateral dimension (x, y) of 1-100 mu m, average through-plane dimension (z) of 5-100 nm, and oxygen content of 0.01-10 wt.% based on total weight of graphene nanoplatelets. USE - A polyurethane for thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The isocyanate prepolymer including graphene nanoplates (GNPs) allows for excellent dispersion of the GNPs in cast polyurethanes, thermoplastic polyurethanes, and polyurethane foams. Furthermore, the polyurethanes exhibit excellent physical and rheological properties with inclusion of a minimal amount of GNP, including as physical properties associated with filled polyurethanes without the disadvantages physical properties associated with filled polyurethanes. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) isocyanate prepolymer having isocyanate content of 4-30 wt.% comprising reaction product of aromatic isocyanate, polyol, and 0.1-20 wt.% graphene nanoplatelets based on total weight of isocyanate prepolymer; (2) polyurethane elastomer comprising reaction product of isocyanate prepolymer, aliphatic diol having 2-12 carbon atoms and/or amine, and optionally, greater than or equal to 1 polyols, where polyurethane elastomer has hard block content of 50-95 molar% based on total equivalent of aliphatic diol and/or amine divided by total equivalent of NCO used to form polyurethane elastomer; (3) polyurethane elastomer comprising the reaction product of isocyanate prepolymer and aromatic diol having 8-24 carbon atoms, where polyurethane elastomer has hard block content of 50-95 molar% based on total equivalent of aromatic diol divided by total equivalent of NCO used to form polyurethane elastomer; and (4) formation of isocyanate prepolymer having weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 100-5000 g/mol, which involves reacting aromatic isocyanate, polyol, and 0.1-20 wt.% graphene nanoplatelets based on total weight of the isocyanate prepolymer.
