NOVELTY - Flexible self-supporting fiber woven tactile sensing unit comprises two linear electrodes wrapped with conductive material, and ion gel comprising the ion liquid located between the contact linear electrodes. The linear electrode is made of linear base material wrapping conductive material. The ion gel is prepared by mixing and solidifying a mixture of ionic liquid, solvent and polymer material in a mass ratio of (1-3):(8-10):(1-3). The solvent comprises dimethylformamide, N-methylpyrrolidone, dimethylacetamide, triethyl phosphate and/or dimethyl sulfoxide. The polymer material comprises polyvinylidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene, and/or tetraiodoethylene. The ionic liquid is a salt that is liquid at or near room temperature and is completely composed of organic cations and inorganic or organic anions, where the cation ions include quaternary ammonium salt ions, quaternary phosphonium salt ions, imidazolium salt ions and/or pyrrole salt ions. USE - The sensing unit is useful in fiber-woven tactile sensing display and fiber woven tactile sensor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sensor has high sensitivity, wide detection range, fast response rate of sensing characteristic and high flexibility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) fiber-woven tactile sensing display, comprising the sensing unit; (2) fiber woven tactile sensor, which is the sensor unit or sensor array; and (3) preparing the flexible self-supporting fiber woven tactile sensing unit.
