NOVELTY - Nanocomposite comprises reduced graphene oxide and core-shell nanoparticles provided on the reduced graphene oxide. The core-shell nanoparticles comprises a core including cobalt sulfide and a shell including molybdenum sulfide formed on the core. USE - The nanocomposite is useful in anode for lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nanocomposite has reversible capacity, capacity retention, cycling stability and excellent electrochemical performance due to high rate capability during cycle testing. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for producing the nanocomposite, comprising preparing a nanocomposite including reduced graphene oxide and cobalt to obtain precursor, then sulfiding the precursor in presence of a molybdenum precursor.
