NOVELTY - Preparing graphene/molybdenum disulfide/cadmium sulfide composite sensing material comprises (i) ultrasonically dispersing 0.1-0.15 g graphene oxide in 80-100 ml distilled water, adding sodium molybdate and thiourea according to molar ratio of 1:4-1:6 into graphene oxide dispersion, stirring at room temperature for overnight, transferring mixture to 100 ml hydrothermal reaction kettle and sealing, heating for 24-36 hours at 180 degrees C, cooling to room temperature, washing for many times with distilled water and drying to obtain graphene oxide/molybdenum disulfide composite material, and (ii) ultrasonically dispersing 0.15-0.2 g the composite material in 50-60 ml ethanol, adding 0.36 g cadmium chloride, 0.34 g thiourea, 0.24 g polyoxyethylene lauryl ether and 0.5 ml 50% hydrazine hydrate to above dispersion, stirring mixture for overnight, transferring mixture to 100 ml hydrothermal reaction kettle and sealing, heating for 6-12 hours at 120 degrees C, cooling, centrifuging, washing and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene/molybdenum disulfide/cadmium sulfide composite sensing material. ADVANTAGE - The sensing material has response time and recovery time of less than 30 seconds for low concentration nitrogen dioxide gas, ordered structure, and strong thermal stability. The method is simple, economical, environmentally friendly, convenient to operate and suitable for industrial production, and reduces use amount of graphene oxide.
