NOVELTY - Multilayer selective hydrogen permeation composite membrane, comprises a metal substrate layer with high hydrogen permeability, a metal layer with catalytic activity and permeability to hydrogen, and a selective hydrogen permeability to protons, and single-layer graphene film; where the metal substrate layer is niobium or a metal alloy composed of niobium and other metal elements, and the metal layer is palladium or a metal alloy composed of palladium and other elements. The metal substrate layer is a metal alloy composed of niobium or niobium and/or titanium, nickel, tantalum, zirconium, hafnium, and cobalt. USE - The composite membrane is useful for separating hydrogen from a gas mixture by selective diffusion (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the multilayer selective hydrogen permeation composite membrane.
